Men’s Hat
This hat was worn by men for dressier occasions. (i.e. Church) This type of hat was considered a “dress hat” and back in that time period they only wore them for church, church events, and funerals.

This was used to decorate the table in most homes in Goldsboro. They were used year round, but families would have different ones based on holidays and family/special occasions.
Glass Wash Rub Board
This was used to help aid in washing clothing. One would rub the article of clothing on the board in order to get the dirt off. They would put the rub board in the wash board and then move the clothes to the second tub. The rub board acted as

These bowls were used for washing vegetables and mixing food. These were often times used for snapping beans or peas.
Mixing Bowl
This bowl was used for baking and cooking. These were very sturdy bowls. It was often used for cake mixing and making food for large groups of people.
Cast Iron Frying Pan
This frying pan was a standard cooking utensil used in Goldsboro. It was mostly used for frying food.
Wash Tub
This is a washing tub that the ladies in Goldsboro used every Monday and Friday. This was used to wash all of the clothes for the entire household.
